I remember back when I was a child in school, coming home to find Hot Pockets in our freezer was definitely a treat and something I looked forward to. I never thought that many years later, my daughter would enjoy the same after school snack that I did. Hot Pockets make the best after school snacks. I was running low and had to head to Walmart to pick up a few other necessitates. I spent the day out with my mom, on the way home I stopped by the Walmart closest to my house, their frozen food aisles were usually pretty well stocked, or so I thought. Remind me never to go shopping on a Sunday again, the shelfs were bare. You can view more on my shopping trip by visiting my Google+ album. #HotPocketSnacks
I would have had more in my cart but the shelves where pretty much bare. I’ll never wait to grocery shop in the late afternoon on a Sunday ever again, lesson learned. I did get what I went for, plenty of Hot Pockets for us to enjoy.
My favorite variety of Hot Pockets is by far the Pepperoni Pizza, it’s my daughter’s favorite too. We sometimes eat the Ham & Cheese flavor for breakfast, nothing like a hot meal in the morning to help get your day off and running. If I ever have to grocery shop on a weekend again I might need to try and do it very early in the morning so there is actually some product to choose from.
Jasmine’s first official day of kindergarten was today. On our way home from school I told Jasmine that if she opened the freezer when we got home she would find a new kind of after school snack waiting for her. Needless to say, she was very happy with what she found waiting for her. She thanked me many times for letting her eat pizza as a after school snack.
Look what Jasmine found in the freezer. My daughter is 5 going on 30 and she really enjoys helping out int he kitchen. This is a meal Jasmine can almost prepare all by herself, it’s so easy. Slip the Hot Pocket into the crisping sleeve, microwave for 2 minutes, let stand for 2 minutes and it’s ready to eat. My little girl is spoiled in a major way, yes, I cut her Hot Pocket up into small pieces for her.
“Thanks Mommy! You’re the best. I love pizza!” – Jasmine C.
I told Jasmine that if she did good in class and got an E on her daily behavior report sheet I would allow her to have a Hot Pocket when she gets home. We are 1 for 1 so far, I’m pretty sure I’ll need to go out and buy some more Hot Pockets real soon. Jasmine plans on having an E everyday of the week. Since Jasmine doesn’t eat lunch at school her Hot Pocket is more o her lunch than an after school snack.
