I’m Going To Hollywood with Disney #DisneyMoviesEvent

While driving the kids home from Chuck E. Cheese yesterday I got an amazing phone call from North Hollywood, it was Marshall on the other end of the line!! I’m going to Hollywood with Disney! The last time I was in California I was 11 or so, I’m looking forward to heading to the west coast for a few days. I’ve always been a Disney fanatic, this trip is a great fit for me. I think I like Disney more than my kids do, is that bad? I will be staying at the Lowes Hollywood Hotel, I’m sure I’ll never want to leave. A nice get to know you dinner is planned for us when we arrive, then to bed for a busy few days.

I’m excited to finally meet Marshall, also looking forward to finally meeting some long-time blogger friends that for a while now I was totally convinced only lived in my computer. Can’t wait to meet Mariah from Formula Mom, and Staci from 7 on a Shoestring. I just found out that Simply Stacie and Makobi Scribe will be there too!! I owe both of them a lot, they were instrumental in kicking off my blogging career. I’m looking forward to connecting with other blogger moms and dads, we are all going to have the best time.

Here’s what I’ll be doing while I’m in LA.

• Attending the Red Carpet Premiere of  FRANKENWEENIE at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood!
• Interviewing the 3 amazing child actors from FRANKENWEENIE - Robert Capron (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid” films), Atticus Shaffer (TV’s “The Middle”) and Charlie Tahan (“Charlie St. Cloud”).
• Screening the new Tinker Bell direct to DVD movie SECRET OF THE WINGS.

• Travel to the Walt Disney Animation Studios for a press day where I will get the chance to speak with filmmakers and animators about WRECK-IT RALPH and the animated short PAPERMAN.

• Screening of Disney/Pixar’s MONSTERS, INC. 3D on the Walt Disney Studios lot.
• A few other things are still to be determined.

Mark your calendars, FRANKENWEENIE opens in theatres everywhere on October 5^th! WRECK-IT RALPH (and “Paperman”) opens in theatres everywhere on November 2nd, and MONSTERS, INC. 3D opens in theatres everywhere on December 19^th!
