New Delicious Del Monte Fruit Cup Flavors #SmartSnack #Cbias

I was cleaning out our pantry the other day and noticed I was running low on canned fruit for the kids. We always have plenty of peaches, pears, and of course, mandarins on hand. I require JL to eat a few serving of fruit a day, especially after school, before she does her homework. Now that Baby Cruzer is getting older I feed him what I give his big sister, Del Monte fruit cups. The baby eats fruit at least 2-3 times per day as well, he’s now old enough to feed himself so I usually pour the contents of his fruit up onto a plate for him to grab with his fingers.

After picking JL up from school the other day I headed to Walmart to find some new flavors for the kids to enjoy. While browsing down the canned fruit aisle I found new delicious Del Monte fruit cup flavors #SmartSnack and picked up a few varieties for the kids to try. JL was immediately impressed and excited about the Diced Apples and Pears with Caramel so I knew I wouldn’t have any problems getting her to finish her fruit once we got home.

There were so many new flavors of fruit to choose from. I noticed some new packaging that I hadn’t seen before. There they were, NEW Diced Apples and Pears with Caramel Flavor and Diced Pears with Vanilla and Spice. JL noticed the caramel pieces on the packing right away and asked if we could buy it. Of course I said yes. I never turn down my child when she’s asking me to buy her fruit.

A little excited to see the NEW! Caramel Flavor

A little further up the shelf I found more flavors, new Pears with Vanilla and Spice fruit cups. JL couldn’t reach the very top of the shelf so I got it down for her. I find that involving her in the shopping process really gets her excited about trying new fruits and foods, or in this case, new fruit cup flavors. We even do the self-checkout when possible so she can get the full experience.

I always tend to reach for Del Monte fruit cups when shopping for snacks for the kids. The fruit cups are convenient, I can toss a few in the baby’s diaper bag and they can be enjoyed just about anywhere we go. I always have a few spoons tucked into a ziplock bag in the car somewhere or in the baby’s diaper bag, so eating on the go is easy. Most of the time the kids enjoy their Del Monte fruit cups at home. JL loves to color after school, right next to her box of crayons there is always a bowl of Del Monte fruit for her to nibble on as she creates her mini master pieces. JL likes to drink the juice too, no part of her fruit cups go to waste.

JL and Baby Cruzer really like their new fruit cup flavors. I’m thinking up a really yummy dessert I can make using the fruit and the flavored syrup, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime you should check out @DelMonteFoods on twitter and follow them on Facebook.

  1. Yum! Those new flavors sound amazing. I need to pick up a few packs the next time we’re at Wal-mart.
