I wasn’t going to do one of the “My Year in Review 2012″ posts, but after looking back and realizing 2012 was so amazing I knew I needed to document it. 2012 was an amazing year for me, not only personally, but my blog grew and I met some really amazing bloggers and with their friendship, help, and guidance I’m thrilled about 2013 and all the possibilities that lay ahead. I traveled so much in 2012, in fact, I think 2012 was the year I traveled the most. I found myself on the West Coast one month and on the East Coast the next. I’m humbled by all the amazing experiences I had this past year and I know 2013 is going to rock even harder.
January
Hello 2012! I remember blogging my heart out this month. Not too much happened though. Filling in this month with an adorable photo of my mini humans.
February
Blogging my heart out in February too, but I did squeeze in a trip to New Orleans for my little brother’s 21 birthday party.
March
Happy Birthday to my wonderful, and very supportive husband. This month was a turning point in my blogging career. After a few failed attempts, and not wanting to give up, I was finally accepted in Collective Bias/Social Fabric. I kind of felt like I had made it as a blogger after that.
April
Blogging my heart out and we celebrated Easter. I really love this photo of Jasmine hunting Easter Eggs at her school’s party.
May
Jasmine successfully completed her first full school year. Pre-K 4, DONE! May was a pretty amazing month. My family and I road tripped it up to Virgina for a week and hung out at The Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg. I got to go to Busch Gardens a few times, visit the beach with some fabulous friends, visit with my two pregnant childhood friends, make new memories, and see family. As I write this I’m reminded of just how much I miss Virginia.
June
The hubby and I had a date night in the dead of summer. We like to hang out at Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge, it reminds us of Virginia Beach, you know, without the beach.
July
Happy 4th of July! We celebrated by setting off fireworks at our hunting camp. We spent most of the summer spending as much time with mom was we could. My mom knew she would be moving back to Virginia sometime after the summer. We did explore Baton Rouge a little more than normal, found some neat places. The one place we liked a lot was the LSU Rural Life Museum.
August
Not only did both of my kids have a birthday in August this was the first time I attended a blog related conference. I spent a few days down in New Orleans for Niche Mommy 2012. I had a great time, networked, ate delicious food, and let loose. I can’t wait to do it again this year. August was also the month I launched my personal blog, Cleverness of Me. Sadly, this was also the same month my mom decided to move back to Virgina.
September

Now September was incredible. I was invited by Disney, thanks Marshall to attend the red carpet world premiere of FRANKENWEENIE #DisneyMovesEvent. While in LA I stayed in the heart of Hollywood, visited Disney’s Animation Studios and saw a bunch of movies before anyone else. I’ll never forget that experience. I’ll also never forget all the wonderful bloggers I met.
October
From one coast to another. In October my husband boarded a plane bound for Pennsylvania. My cousin got married and I had the privilege of standing alongside her on the most important day of her life. It was a beautiful wedding. This was the very first time, since having children, that we went away on vacation by ourselves. We also celebrated my favorite holiday, Halloween.
November
Blessed to be here on planet earth another year. My mom sent me the coolest birthday gift ever. Check out my jumbo fortune cookie. My heart melted when I opened it and read “my fortune”.
December
To end this whirlwind of a year my family and I loaded up and drove 10 hours to Orlando for a week of Disney fun. We did squeeze in a day at SeaWorld but the other days were 100% dedicated to Disney and my Disney addiction. 2012 will be synonymous with the year I started my Disney Pin Trading addiction. We arrived home just in time to celebrate Christmas and New Years!
New Blog Design (coming soon)
Against my better judgement a while ago I hired someone new to change the look of my blog. Bad idea, should have just stayed with my amazing blog designer friend, Jessica, AKA The Pixelista. Since having my blog done by someone else I have fallen out of love with it. Jessica has been working on creating a personalized, beautiful, feminine blog design just for me. See, here’s a sneak peek. Can’t wait! Oh, and I’m now a Mac user, and loving every second. I’m looking forward to moving my blog into a new direction, more recipes, crafts, and content posts, starting with this one.

I loved the beignets in New Orleans last year when we were there. Lovely time to be there too (in January for us). I think that you going to L.A. was very cool. Disney is awesome for doing that! I can’t wait to see the new blog design! Happy New Year!
I’m so glad you decided to post a year in review. We get so busy with the day to day, that we remember how blessed we are. It’s so fun to look back! You had an incredible year, and I’m sure you will rock 2013!
I am so glad you went back to your original designer..I must admit I was stopping by less as the last design was too much…and I had a hard time navigating around your blog. I like the new one though! This isthe next thing on my list with mine is to tweak some things I don’t like about my blog.
