It’s day 12 of my 31 day blog challenge. Today is all about missing things. What is Something You Miss?
Right now, I miss having my room. Jasmine sleeps at the foot of our bed on an air mattress. This is only temporary though, it’s a long story. The short version. My brother is living with us while he transitions, either into the Armed Forces or into an apartment with his friend.
I miss summer, especially summers in Virginia.
I really miss the salt air. I miss the sand between my toes and the saltness of the Atlantic Ocean. I miss cold beers and warm summer nights. I miss Virginia.
I miss fireflies and I miss hearing the seasonal rhythms of the crickets at night.
I miss heat lighting.

Honestly, I miss the sun. Worst thing about winter & early spring in Vermont is that the sun is so rare. Lots of rain & clouds.

And this is exactly why I’m moving back, just as soon as our house sales here in Louisiana. Then school!
I gave up my room to a grand daughter when she moved in with us. So, this I understand. And I envy your move to the beach!
I think I need to visit the beach over here this weekend, I don’t take advantage of it enough!
I couldn’t imagine being so far from my home. I was born here and I’ll die here. I hope you find your way back to Virginia some day!
